On August 1st, 2015 I married one of the best guys I’ve ever known! And let me tell you, Gary and I literally had the time of our lives that weekend. It was 2 days (1 western day and 1 Eritrean culture day) of soul nourishing food, feel good music and epic love from family and friends that will be imprinted in our hearts and mind FOREVER.
I’m so excited to share some of those memories with you on the blog today! The images below are all from the ceremony and reception on Saturday. Part 2 will feature pics from the reception on Sunday. chose was
I hope these images inspire you to show or appreciate love in some way today.
These shoes by Emma Go were so comfortable that I wore them for the ENTIRE day! From 11:30am to 3am! My feet really hate heels so that is a huge accomplishment.
My beautiful momma and me!
These four girls right here: Veronica, Eden, Feryal and Grace – are my soul sisters. Having them by my side meant the absolute world to me.
How handsome is my husband?!!
Eritrean weddings involve special dances and songs as the bride and groom make their grand entrance into the venue. The elder men dance with swords and the women dance with drums.
How gorgeous are these women! My mom is 3rd from left.
